With the Festival Verdi, #laculturanonsiferma
Festival Verdi Home Streaming continues its programming with five further Verdi’s operas offered to the public.
This brings to eighteen the works of the Teatro Regio di Parma’s online festival proposing some of the most successful productions staged in the last fifteen editions of the Festival, in full HD, in the original version with Italian subtitles.
The new operas available:
Les vêpres siciliennes (The Sicilian Vespers), version created for the Festival Verdi 2010 with direction, set and costumes design by Pier Luigi Pizzi and conduction by Massimo Zanetti.

Giovanna d'Arco (Joan of Arc), the opera that inaugurated the project Maestri al Farnese (Masters at the Farnese) –the 17th century wooden theatre in the Monumental Complex of the Pilotta, in the Festival Verdi 2016. Direction by Saskia Boddeke and Peter Greenaway, conduction by Ramón Tebar, for the first time at the Festival Verdi.

Un giorno di regno (A One-Day Reign), a very lucky show of the Teatro Regio’s Opera Season 2010 and the only foray into opera buffa of the Verdi's catalogue. Direction by Pier Luigi Pizzi, conduction by Donato Renzetti.
(April 25th, 2020 at 8.00 p.m., available until midnight on April 26th)
Jérusalem, opening opera of the Verdi Festival 2017. Direction, set and costumes design by Hugo de Ana, while Daniele Callegari conducts the score of the critical edition by Jürgen Selk, performed for the first time.
(28th April 2020, 8.00 p.m., available until midnight on April 29th)
Le trouvère, created for the Festival Verdi 2018 and part of the Maestri al Farnese project. Robert Wilson signs the staging and Roberto Abbado, at his debut as Music Director of the Festival Verdi, conducts the Orchestra and Choir of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna.

Festival Verdi Home Streaming is realized thanks to the collaboration of Unitel, Dynamic and OperaVision and is shared with the cultural portal Parma Ritrovata of the Municipality of Parma, with the Emilia-Romagna Region and with the many Italian Embassies and Cultural Institutes abroad that have promoted the project.
