Germany – The international debut of 'Quijote!' by Teatro Nucleo

On stage at the Sommerwerft festival in Frankfurt on August 10.

Quijote! by Teatro Nucleo – the famous and impressive show for open spaces which had over 400 performances in three continents from 1990 to 2008 and received the Critics' Award 2002 at the Cervantino Festival in Guanajuato – is back on stage. Quixote and Sancho come back to life and, riding their improbable mechanical steeds equipped with wheels, embark on amazing adventures.

The show is “an acrobatic, comic, circus, and spectacular machine” –the first notes by critics– that produces both amusement and reflection, as it offers a different interpretation of the character. Don Quixote is a generous and lovable soul, full of a spirit of adventure and capable of wonder, and in a vulgar and anti-romantic world he ends up as a madman.

The great Horacio Czertok plays the main role, and also cures the direction together with Natasha Czertok.

Highly applauded on its debut in Italy, on May 3, 2024, opening show of the first edition of ‘Rabicano - International Theatre Festival for Open Spaces’ created by Teatro Nucleo on the 50th anniversary of its foundation, the show crosses national borders for the first time. On August 11 (9:45 pm) it will be staged in Frankfurt within the Sommerwerf, the international theatre festival on the banks of the River Main organized by protagon e. V. – an ideal space for this magnificent mise-en-scene.
