Raffaello Bellavista on tour in China
Raffaello Bellavista is a multi-talented artist. Pianist, baritone and composer, he is among the founders of the association "Accademia del Melo Silvestre APS" of Brisighella and artistic director of the festival "I Suoni...le Parole: un Simposio informale sotto la Luna" (Sounds...Words: An Informal Symposium Under the Moon), event supported by Emilia-Romagna Region that takes place annually in Romagna, between Brisighella, Faenza, Imola, Ravenna, and Rimini.
From April 16 to May 13, Raffaello Bellavista is engaged in a long tour in China, an opportunity coming out of the success achieved at the Carnival of Venice, where he performed in the ‘Sale Apollinee’ of La Fenice opera house and in the final grand gala in Piazza San Marco.
Belcanto, the greatest Italian treasure is the title of the tour that will reach twenty of the most important Chinese theatres. Bellavista will perform some classical pieces from his repertoire on the grand piano, while in the operatic parts he will be accompanied by soprano Kseniia Oliinyk and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Franciacorta founded by the conductor Emiliano Facchinetti, one of the most appreciated classical-crossover orchestras in Europe, for the occasion conducted by Edmondo Mosè Savio.
Some of the most famous opera arias will be proposed, both for baritone – like “Largo al factotum” from The Barber of Seville by Rossini and “Non più andrai” from Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, and for soprano – like the aria sung by the Queen of the Night in Mozart's The Magic Flute, and there will be some duets, too – like “Là ci darem la mano” from Don Giovanni by Mozart. Paraphrases for solo piano of famous tangos and an unpublished composition by Bellavista for voice and piano, entitled Semplice (Simple), are also part of the concert programme.
The tour is supported by Romagna Iniziative, a consortium gathering some of the most important entrepreneurial bodies in the Romagna area, which for some years has also been engaged in promoting innovative culture projects and activities, with particular attention to the world of young people.
