Poland – “Nottetempo” by Elsinor
The Teatr Ludowy in Krakow hosts the second edition of the Openig Festival (Festiwal Otwarcia), dedicated to theatre for young generations, with particular attention to the boldest and most innovative productions.
Elsinor theatre production centre takes part with Nottetempo, a projetc by Giuditta Mingucci based on VR technology, thanks to which its participants will be able to enter a sensual experience of the paintings by the Spanish painter Remedios Varo (November 20-22, various performances, different times).
The digitally created world is amplified and scaled to a theatrical reality using the old traditional technique of wrist puppets. Thanks to new technologies and traditional techniques, viewers will travel through diverse theatre worlds, experiencing the entire spectrum of feelings, between surrealism, virtual reality and puppet theatre.
The performance Nottetempo is part of the PlayON! European project – innovative productions in which the creators replaced classical storytelling with interactive forms, using digital technologies that are widely known to young people, who can thus become participating spectators. The project involves nine theatres and eight universities; Elsinor, theatre production centre which in Emilia-Romagna is based at the Teatro Testori in Forlì, is the only Italian partner.
