United Kingdom – Elsinor at the Departure Lounge festival
Cross the line is a research, training and theatrical work project for young audience, created thanks to the work of more than 500 teens, aged between 12 and 17, who participated in the research developed in Italy and France from 2021 to 2023.
The resulting show, conceived by Manuela Capece and Davide Doro of compagnia rodisio theatre company, starts from the key word “Line” to investigate the meanings it implies – Limit. Border. Conflict – and all the questions arising from – Can the line be a protection? When does a line become a limit? What does it mean crossing that line? … – and how and how much all of this is reflected within us.
Cross the line was produced by Elsinor and Derby Theatre within the European project "ConnectUp", an international collective of theatres and arts organisations creating work for young audiences.
On July 6 and 7 it is presented at the Departure Lounge festival, organized by Derby Theatre, that in this edition includes other productions created as part of "ConnectUp".
