Teatro Nucleo on tour in Hungary
To commemorate the highlights of Pier Paolo Pasolini's life and career – as poet, director, author, playwriter and much more –, Teatro Nucleo has chosen to celebrate his ardour, passion, and love with a musical cabaret.
The concert-show – performed by the Piccola Orchestra Pasolini, a group of actors and musicians united by the passion for the figure and the works of this revolutionary artist –, alternates moments of striking poetic force and ironic premonitions, stornelli from Roman taverns, square glasses and black loafers.
The lyrics and music are freely inspired by some of Pasolini's most significant works in terms of direct audience involvement: Comizi d'Amore, the songs written for Laura Betti and Gabriella Ferri, the poems written throughout his life.
The show is on tour in Hungary thanks to the co-operation by the Utca-Szak Association (Utzaszínházi Alkotóközösség) and the support of the Italian Cultural Institute in Budapest.
It will be on stage in Szentendre on August 13, while on August 17, 18 and 19 it is guest of the TeatRom, multidisciplinary festival taking place in the Roma settlements in different locations in Borsod county, in northeastern Hungary. The performances are scheduled in Farkaslyuk, Csokvaomány, and Szendrőlád.
The tour ends in Budapest, where P.O.P. Piccola Orchestra Pasolini is presented at the Városliget Park on August 20, on occasion of the Hungary National Day.
