Teatro Gioco Vita on tour in France
On March 11, Teatro Gioco Vita theatre company stars a new, long tour in France with the show Moun - carried off by the foam and the waves – a tour including sixteen performances in seven cities.
The stages: Vendenheim (March 11-12), Neuves-Maisons (15-16), Bitche (18), Uckange (21-22), Maizières-lès-Metz (24-25), Talange (27-28), Trappes (March 31 – April 2).
The performance is based on the illustrated book by Rascal and Sophie “Moun” – a simple but very deep story that, despite dealing with strong themes as abandonment, adoption, homesickness and self-discovery, conveys a sense of great serenity. Its strength lies just in the contrast between the gravity of these topics and the great lightness with which they are expressed.
Direction and set design are by Fabrizio Montecchi, the shadow puppets by Nicoletta Garioni (from illustrations by Sophie); on the stage, actress Deniz Azhar Azari tells the story of Moun making use of a theatrical language that blends narration and dance with Teatro Gioco Vita's entire repertoire of shadow techniques.
Since its debut in 2019, Moun has been successfully on tour in Italy and abroad in both the Italian and French versions. In France, it has already been staged in prestigious theatres and important festivals, and was so loved that the performances in France are currently more than the ones in Italy.
