Pippo Delbono special for the world audience
Author, theatre and cinema director, actor, Pippo Delbono has been experimenting on stage for many years now, exploring the fertile ground between public and personal, between autobiography and history, shaping works that stand out on the international scene for their originality.
The artist took part in the programming of #laculturanonsiferma – the digital festival created by Emilia-Romagna Region Culture Dept in co-operation with ERT - Emilia Romagna Teatro and the cultural professionals of the territory – providing some shows of the Compagnia Pippo Delbono repertory, which, over about ten years, portrays his theatre and projects.
Thanks to ERT, the project of diffusion of the shows has now a new form: beside on ERT website, each video is available to the public all over the world, throughout the month of June, on Vimeo with an option (CC) including the languages Italian, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish.
Translations have been done by professional mother-tongue translators and revised, curated, and edited by ERT and Compagnia Pippo Delbono.
Thanks to the support by the Italian Cultural Institutes of Paris, Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile, Lisbon, Rio de Janeiro, Warsaw, Krakow, and some of ERT’s historical partners as FITS - Sibiu International Theatre Festival, Malta Festival of Poznan, Teatro Coliseo of Buenos Aires, Fundación Teatro a Mil of Santiago de Chile, the videos are freely available until June 30, 2020 (possible to delay) at the following links:

Dopo la battaglia (After the Battle) is also available in Romanian language starting from June, 13th, after the first online screening at the Sibiu International Theatre Festival.
ERT believes this initiative may attract the attention and the curiosity of numerous foreign communities, lovers of contemporary theatre, students of Italian language around the world, professors and students of Faculties of Humanities of the Universities, and wishes this will be an opportunity for closeness and encounter while waiting for coming back in the crowded halls of all the theatres in the world.
