France – "Dreamers" by Aterballetto
Dance company amongst the most notable in the Italian scene, Aterballetto performs in Chambéry for the first time and presents its last production, Dreamers.
It is a triple bill signed by illustrious choreographers as Ohad Naharin, Rihoko Sato, and Aterballetto choreographer and dancer Philippe Kratz.
Dreamers is an international co-production that joins Fondazione Nazionale della Danza in Reggio Emilia to Festival Oriente Occidente in Rovereto -where the performance premiered in last September-, Les Halles de Schaerbeek in Brussels, and the Malraux scène nationale Chambéry Savoie, where it is on stage on December 4th and 5th.
Dreamers explores choreographic and cultural universes that might be diametrically opposed on the executional level but share the same deep human sensitivity.
cloud|materia is a tribute to Anni Albers. Philippe Kratz transforms into dance the creative material approach of this extraordinary Bauhaus artist.
Traces is a touching and evocative choreography by Rihoko Sato, who combines the influences of Japanese culture, the lesson of Saburo Teshigawara and the feminine sensibility.
Joy, vulnerability, fear, innocence, confusion and anger make up the dynamic Secus by Ohad Naharin.
Besides Dreamers, the Company dedicates another performance to the young audience of Chambéry: a double bill composed of "O" by Philippe Kratz and Rain Dogs by Johan Inger.
