China – Accademia Bizantina on tour
Accademia Bizantina keeps on garnering consensus around the world. After the Gramophone Recital Award to contralto Delphine Galou for the album recorded with Accademia Bizantina and Ottavio Dantone Agitata, the ensamble is now engaged in a long tour in China.
They have already performed in Shenyang on October 23rd in the beautiful frame of the Shenyang Concert Hall, with its structure shaped like a diamond.
On October 25th, Accademia is hosted by the Qingdao Grand Theatre, on October 26th the ensamble will play in the Shanghai Concert Hall, and on October 27th in the wonderful Multifunction Hall of the Gran Theatre in Hefei. The Chinese tour will finish with a concert in Zhengzhou, huge cultural and arts center of the Country.
The programme of the concerts in Shenyang, Shanghai, Hefei e Zhengzhou proposes pieces by Haydn and Mozart, while in Qingdao the concert is dedicated to Bach and Haydn: Maestro Dantone will play some pieces by Bach at the impressive organ of the Hall.
In November, the ensamble based in Ravenna will be in Germany. With Marc'Antonio e Cleopatra by Johann Adolf Hasse, with Delphine Galou and Valer Sabadu’s voices, Accademia will be guest of the Kölner Philharmonie in Cologne (November 8th) and of the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg (November 9th), historical concert hall where many renowned German and international artists have performed.
