México - Manicomics Teatro at the Feira de León

Rolando Tarquini as actor and Allegra Spernanzoni as stage manager and assistant director of "Abrazos" (Embraces) by Finzi Pasca. Until the 5th of February

The "Feira estatal de León", in the Guanajuato region, is one of the biggest in South America. It boasts 143 years of life and, with its proposals of culture, entertainment, gastronomy, craftsmanship, and international shows- is an event attended by 5 million visitors every year.

Amongst the international attractions of this year Fair (January 11-February 5), the debut of the show Abrazos (Embraces) by the Compagnia Finzi Pasca which involves two members of Manicomics Theater, the well-known company of clown and contemporary circus from Piacenza.

In fact, actor and clown Rolando Tarquini, founder and creator of Manicomics, has also been collaborating with the Swiss company for almost a decade.
Tarquini is not only on stage but is also the protagonist of a short film - shot in the city's landmarks and inspired by its traditions- that opens the show Abrazos.

Besides Tarquini, Allegra Spernanzoni of Manicomics Teatro is involved as stage manager of the event and assistant director of the creator Finzi Pasca.
Working in close contact with the Swiss playwright, Spernanzoni has supported the creation of the staging, that, on its last phase, took place in Mexico earlier this January.

The show, which goes on for about 1 hour, is staged 3 times a day throughout January and will end on February 5th. About 150,000 people are expected to attend.
