Spain – “Bros” by Romeo Castellucci
For the third time, Romeo Castellucci is guest of the Festival de Otoño in Madrid, and stages his latest work, Bros – an international co-production.
Bros is a reflection on law and order, on individual and collective responsibility, and submission.
A large group of anonymous men – non-professional actors, called in from the street – are the characters of the performance. Dressed as North American police officers, they must execute the orders received through earphones, regardless of whether they understand them or not. The situations derived from these orders create an appearance of comedy that, however, will deviate towards a dark, disturbing, violent side.
As for the other Italian theatrical performances proposed in the event, Bros is presented at the Festival de Otoño with the support by the Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid, partner of the festival. The performance is staged at the Centro de Cultura Contemporánea Condeduque from November 24 to 26 (at 08:00 p.m.).
