Spain – fuse* at L.E.V. Festival 2021

On July 25, in Gijón, the live-media performance "Dökk"

LEV (Laboratorio de Electrónica Visual) is a platform of production, promotion, experimentation related to electronic sound creations, audiovisual creations and digital art. LEV organizes yearly the L.E.V. Festival to explore contemporary creation with national and international avant-garde artists and provide an all-round, eclectic view of the current state of sound, audiovisual, and digital creativity and its constant evolution and connections with different disciplines.

On July 25, in Gijón, fuse* art studio presents Dökk, a live-media performance on a journey throughout a sequence of digital landscapes where the perception of space and time is altered (at the Teatro de la Laboral, h 09:00 pm).

Dökk (in Icelandic: darkness) is a show which is different every time it is staged, which stimulates a sense of profound empathy transmitting two key concepts: the synchronicity and the unpredictability of human existence.

To obtain this result, the fuse* team has developed a system capable of elaborating the result of close interaction between various data generated in real time on the stage: the analysis of sound, the movement of the performer, his/her heartbeat and the sentimental analysis of contents shared on social networks.

In Dökk, the stage becomes “a place of the mind” in which reality is reconstructed as the result of one’s own actions, and in which every gesture has its own specific consequence.

fuse* attends the L.E.V. Festival 2021 thanks to the support by the Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid, with the collaboration by ATER Fondazione.
