Spain - “SIE7E” by Instabili Vaganti theatre company
A new creation enriches the multidisciplinary project “Beyond Border”, conceived and directed by Instabili Vaganti theatre company “to cross” geographic borders and the boundaries among arts involving international artists in the creation of video performances for the web.
The Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid has joined the project in order to promote the artistic and cultural meeting between Italy and Spain and has produced the web series “SIE7E”, curated by Instabili Vaganti with Cross Border Project collective, in collaboration with the Teatro de La Abadía in Madrid.
“SIE7E” explores seven arts in as many episodes involving different artists such as dancers, musicians, poets, writers, visual artists, photographers, and video makers both Italian and Spanish, depending on the investigated art.
«How can two different artistic companies –one from Italy and the other from Spain– meet and create in distance?», says the Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid director Marialuisa Pappalardo in the video trailer presentation. «This is the research we wanted to promote with the SIE7E project. Seven arts to know each other, to reflect and forge new creations of cultural exchange between Italy and Spain by means of a unique language: the one of art».
So, the Bologna-based company Instabili Vaganti –director Anna Dora Dorno, performer Nicola Pianzola, musician and composer Riccardo Nanni– virtually joins the Madrid-based collective Cross Border Project and their director Lucía Miranda to exalt together the constant research for beauty and the capacity to generate a poetic universe starting from a physical, visual, intercultural theatre, based on an original dramaturgy.
Each single episode discloses the salvific power of art and its intrinsic cathartic role, especially in the most difficult historical times like the ones we are living.
From February 25 to May 20, every two weeks, the episodes will be released on the Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid's and Instabili Vaganti company's websites and social channels.
"SIE7E" is presented within the project by the Institute #iicenlinea and the online programme #TeatroConfinado by the Teatro de La Abadía.
