Streaming of "Traviata" by Artemis Danza

Traviata is the first chapter of a courageous project by Monica Casadei which investigates and interprets the characters (female, in particular), the key-themes and the archetypes of opera according to a modern choreographic approach.
In the tribute to Giuseppe Verdi and his famous melodramma, dance and opera duet and give shape to a flow of imagines disengaged from any desire of didactic adherence, but closely linked to Violetta and her unhappy story.
Monica Casadei and her dance company Artemis Danza get inside Violetta’s tragedy, the tragedy of a woman whose hope for a feeling of love is denied. So, it is Violetta’s point of view to come out in the performance.
The show was included in the ‘virtual season’ made by ATER Fondazione on the platform teatrinellarete.it to replace the seasons of the Multidisciplinary Circuit of Emilia-Romagna theatres, closed due to the pandemic. A programme enriched with videos from the backstage of the concerts, the shows, and the ten theatres joining the special season.
Broadcasted on January from the Teatro Comunale Magnani in Fidenza (Parma), Traviata is now re-proposed in the programme "Teatri nella rete su Lepida TV" promoted by the Department for Culture of Emilia-Romagna Region.
