Teatro Nucleo on tour in Sweden, Denmark, Poland
A new European tour for P.O.P. Piccola Orchestra Pasolini, the performance created by Teatro Nucleo to commemorate Pier Paolo Pasolini's life and career and celebrate the poet, the director, the author, the playwriter, and much more – “an intellectual and revolutionary artist”.
It is a musical cabaret with lyrics and music freely inspired by some of his works, a concert-show in which moments of striking poetic force and ironic premonitions alternate, stornelli from Roman taverns, square glasses and black loafers, accompanied by the soundtracks - more or less known - of the films and music by PPP.
The tour starts in Sweden, at the Tokalynga Flying Festival, event organized by Teater Albatross in Gunnarp from July 29 to August 2nd, featuring national and international artists to animate the whole city from early morning to late night. P.O.P. is on stage on July 30 (7:45 pm).
The second stage is still in Sweden, at the Internationella Gatuteaterfestivalen, international street theatre festival in Halmstad. The 2024 edition runs from August 1st to 4th and hosts artists from fifteen different countries. The Piccola Orchestra Pasolini is on stage on August 2nd (5 pm).
The tour continues in Denmark, at the PASSAGE Festival in Helsingør, one of the largest and longest-running international street theatre festivals in Northern Europe. From July 29 to August 3rd, the shows by more than fifty European theatre companies enliven the public spaces of the city and the surrounding area, and two performances of P.O.P. are scheduled on August 3rd (at 3 pm and 6 pm).
The last stage is in Poland, in Goleniów, where P.O.P. is on stage on August 5, guest of Teatr Brama.
The tour is made with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute in Stockholm.
