Taiwan – "Multiverse" by studio fuse*
On last November 1st, the dome version of Multiverse by art studio fuse* premiered in Taipei as opening event of FUTURE VISION LAB.
This is a program by Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab introducing creative projects of experimentation and innovation through multimedia technology.
The exhibitions and audiovisual performances taking place over three months – from November 1 to January 27 – are the result of collaborations among up-and-coming new media artists, both national and international.
They created new and amazing full immersive experiences, like the project by fuse*, which, since its inception in 2007, has been exploring the expressive potential by the creative use of emerging technologies.
Multiverse is an audiovisual installation that attempts to represent, through the creation of a succession of digital paintings generated in real time, the eternal birth and death of infinite parallel universes.
For this and other works, fuse* has already received recognitions and prestigious international prizes.
To name just the latest: Multiverse won the Red Dot Award (September 2020), the CODAawards Merit Award (September 2020), the Wu Guanzhong Art and Science Innovation Award (November 2019). The new project Treu, around the multiple meanings and implications of the concept of trust, was awarded at POCHEN Biennale on last October 22.
The prototype dome version of Multiverse has been created especially for FUTURE VISION LAB, following its implementation from Italy.
Multiverse is scheduled every night from 07:00 p.m. at C-LAB Taiwan in Political Warfare Building Square until January 27, 2021.
