France – Aterballetto at "Vaison Danses" festival

On July 21, "Golden Days" by choreographer Johan Inger at the Ancient Thatre of Vaison-la-Romaine

The 25th edition of the Vaison Danses festival takes place in Vaison-la-Romaine from July 10 to 28. “Open” and “sensitive” to the interdisciplinary nature of contemporary dance and to the younger audience, the international dance festival wants to be a moment of “living culture” for everybody, coming to be one of the cultural hubs of the region.

On July 21, Aterballetto performs Golden Days, a creation by Johan Inger exclusively thought up for the dance company (h 10:00pm at the Ancient Theatre).

The concept and what holds the three choreographies of the show together – Rain Dogs, Bliss, and Birdland – is the choice of music: Tom Waits, Patti Smith, and Keith Jarrett.

Through their music and their art, these artists have influenced and help change a whole generation and for the brilliant Swedish choreographer – looking at that period in his path “with a true smile, when things were bright and carefree” – they are the key to go back to his 'golden days'.
