Poland – Teatro Due Mondi at FETA Festival

“Wall Cracks” on stage in Gdańsk on July 10

After Germany, Teatro Due Mondi continues its European tour in Poland, in Gdańsk, where the theatre company is guest of the 24th International Street & Open-Air Theatre Festival FETA.

Created a quarter of a century ago on the occasion of the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the City of Gdańsk, FETA is one of the largest and most important festivals of outdoor and street theatre in Poland and in Europe. Large open-air shows, intimate performances, new circus art, dance-theatre, new media, puppets, music, parades make up the varied program proposed to the approximately 30,000 spectators the festival welcomes every year.
The 2022 edition hosts artists and theatre companies from Finland, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, as well as from Poland.

On July 10, Teatro Due Mondi is on stage with Wall Cracks, a work conceived and structured for open air spaces, focused on the theme of the many walls, borders, frontiers of the world we live in, and their possible overcoming.

In a large rectangular space, occupied on all four sides by the public, the actors tell of walls and barriers made of stone and barbed wire, that can become impassable, but also of walls of fear and mistrust, of boundaries created by the difficulty of relating between people or with oneself. And the invitation is to seek, to create, through knowledge, the 'cracks', the breaches to tear down the walls raised by ignorance.

After Gdańsk, Teatro Due Mondi's European tour goes on in Germany again, in Nuremberg. On July 23 and 24, the company is guest of the IDYLLEREI - Internationales Festival für Inklusive Künste (International Festival for Inclusive Arts) and will be on stage with two shows: Wall Cracks and Rossini flambé.
