Teatro delle Ariette on tour in France

The show 'Thirty Years of Wheat' on stage in Chevilly-Larue and Le Perreux-sur-Marne. May 15-21.

New tour in France for Teatro delle Ariette, the third, from the beginning of 2025.

The company will be on stage with Thirty Years of Wheat, the performance created for Matera European Capital of Culture 2019, inspired by mediterranean breads.

Thirty Years of Wheat - Autobiography of a field is a diary of daily life during summer 2019, the thirtieth summer lived by farmer-actors Paola Berselli and Stefano Pasquini at Ariette, their small farm on the Bologna hills. Here they grow wheat and make bread, not to sell it, but to eat it every day and to share it with the audience they meet during the shows.

Paola and Stefano chose to tell of wheat to talk about our present time, with its contradictions, its intolerances –not only to food–, about the relationship with land, animals, plants, mankind and the society we all live in.

Thirty Years of Wheat will be staged in Chevilly-Larue on May 15, 16 and 17, at the Théâtre Chevilly-Larue André Malraux (8 pm), and in Le Perreux-sur-Marne on May 19, 20 and 21, at the Centre des bords de Marne (8 pm).
