“Art without frontiers”: call promoted by Associazione Ottovolante

Interchange project for young artist from Italy and Slovenia. Deadline for submission: May 28, 2021

Opening of the call Arte senza frontiere (Art without frontiers), cultural interchange project for Italian and Slovenian young people working in the field of arts promoted by Bologna based Associazione Ottovolante in partnership with Izola based Associazione Boja and supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affair and International Cooperation (MAECI).

The project aims at developing in the new generations the knowledge of cultural diversity. Through artistic and training experiences, it wants to encourage the collaboration between young people from different countries and stimulate a reflection on the role of art as a form of communication, of research, and as a tool for analysing social reality.

The call is open to 6 participants – three from Italy and three from Slovenia – experienced in artistic production, aged between 18 and 30 years.
It includes a two-week residence in Italy and a two-week residence in Slovenia in order to experience an interchange between young artists that lets them improve the comprehension of the other Country, acquire the tools to go beyond the academic training, and experiment participative practices.

Associazione Ottovolante is an association of social promotion specialized in international and intercontinental cultural exchanges. It is recognized by Emilia-Romagna Region and since many years it has made project in co-operation with the Municipality of Bologna, the Region Emilia-Romagna, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affair and International Cooperation, and the European Union. It proposes study experiences in the field of arts, exhibitions, training exchange projects, study stays and theme cultural tours, and organizes events connected to the Countries involved in. Moreover, it organizes courses of Italian language, produces teaching material, translations, and niche authors publications.
