Paolo Fresu celebrates a special 60th birthday in Bologna
World renowned jazz trumpeter and composer Paolo Fresu turns 60 and has chosen Bologna to celebrate his birthday with a special event that is a tribute to the city where he has been living since the ‘80s: “P60lo Fresu - Musica da lettura", a concert recorded at the Archiginnasio that will be broadcast on the musician’s YouTube channel on February 10th.
Fresu arrived in Bologna to attend the DAMS, degree programme in Drama, Art and Music Studies of the University, and Fresu’s homage to the city wants to join the celebration of another important birthday, the 50 years of the DAMS.
Bologna, UNESCO City of Music, offered Fresu the wonderful spaces of the Archiginnasio rooms, first home to the oldest University of the world, where the music will take us on an evocative cultural and historical journey.
The concert will last 60 minutes, the notes will go with 60 ‘meaningful’ words chosen by the artist. Together with Paolo Fresu, talented musicians and actor Alessandro Bergonzoni as narrator.
“P60lo Fresu - Musica da lettura" is organized by Tǔk Music under the patronage of the Municipality of Bologna and Emilia-Romagna Region with the support by international bodies as MAST Foundation, Unipol, Coop Alleanza 3.0, BPER Banca, Qobuz, Open Fiber.
