Fare Cinema 2020 pays homage to Fellini

From June 15 to 21, many contents dedicated to the director on RaiPlay

Fare Cinema is the initiative of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation dedicated to the promotion of Italian movie industry, carried out in collaboration with MiBACT, ANICA, ICE, and Istituto Luce – Cinecittà.

The third edition of Fare Cinema takes place from June 15 to 21, this year entirely in online format.

A series of contents dedicated to Italian film industry and its professionals is available on RaiPlay platform throughout the week, as well as on the channels of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s network of diplomatic and cultural Representations sharing the event.

Masterclasses with journalists and film critics, video lessons, original short films, feature films, spot, videotour, with subtitles in different languages, are available for free and without geographical restrictions.

On the occasion of the celebration of the centenary of his birth, a special tribute to Federico Fellini could not miss (as well as to Alberto Sordi).

And just ‘Fellini’s voice’ is the trailer of Fare Cinema 2020 edition, and his words:

“Cinema does not need big ideas, passionate loves, conflicts: it imposes on you only one daily obligation, that of doing”.

The Tribute to Fellini, with original content created by MAECI, besides the official trailer, includes the short film Fellini alla fine del mondo (Fellini at the end of the world) by Silvio Caiozzi, made exclusively for Fare Cinema in collaboration with the Italian Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Santiago de Chile, and the video tour of the exhibition Il Centenario. Fellini nel mondo, at present set in São Paulo in collaboration with the CCBB - Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil and the Italian Cultural Institute of São Paulo.

Other contents dedicated to Fellini are: a masterclass created exclusively for Fare Cinema by journalist, critic and director Angelucci, Federico Fellini narrated by Gianfranco Angelucci, and the precious 18 episodes of the series Fellini in frames, a path through the Maestro’s works realized with archive material of Istituto Luce-Cinecittà.
