From Tel Aviv, streaming of “Luci del Varietà" by Federico Fellini

On initiative of the Italian Cultural Institute, until 00:00 on Monday, April 13th

Cinema Italia – Italian Film Festival in Israel is promoted every year by the Italian Cultural Institute of Tel Aviv and the Cultural Association Adamas Italia-Israel, and realized in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Haifa and the Cinemateques of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Herzliya, Holon, Sderot, Rosh Pina, and Maalot.
Due to the health emergency, activities are suspended, but the commitment to promote and stay connected with Italian culture has not ceased.

On the occasion of the centenary of Federico Fellini's birth, the streaming vision of Luci del Varietà, Federico Fellini's first feature film, co-directed with Alberto Lattuada, has been proposed.

Made in 1950, the film paints, in tones between funny and pathetic, the absurd universe of Italian light theatre populated by comedians and actresses, with the masterful performances by Peppino De Filippo, Giulietta Masina, and Carla Del Poggio.

The film was broadcast on April 6th, but by popular demand, the link for the streaming remains active until 00:00 on Monday, April 13th, 2020.
