The 19th Week of the Italian Language in the World with Artemis Danza
Created on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the death of Gioachino Rossini, The Barber of Seville by Monica Casadei and Artemis Danza is an «action ballet», a high intensity performance in which Figaro becomes an emblem of modern man, dynamic and hyperkinetic.
On the choreographic level, Figaro’s character duplicates in the bodies of the entire company and the performers act with the determination, energy and precision of a special team: vigorous, gritty and hyper focused, their dance continuously manipulates time and space.
The ballet, which has been already successfully staged in Italy and abroad, is now proposed within the events of the 19th edition of the Week of the Italian Language in the World organized in Peru, Panama, and Colombia by the Italian Cultural Institutes of Lima and Bogotá and the Embassy of Italy in Panama.
The appointments are at the Teatro Pirandello of Lima on October 23rd, at the Teatro Nacional de Panamá on October 26th, and at the Teatro Jorge Eliécer Gaitán of Bogotá on October 29th.
