Slovenia – E-R Music Commission at the MENT Festival Ljubljana
The 10th edition of the MENT Ljubljana – one of the leading showcase festivals and music conferences in Central and Eastern Europe, is taking place from February 21 to 24.
Eastern Europe is an area very lively as to music, where there is a mass of festivals, venues, and artists who are very active and actively connected to each other. The Slovenian, Croatian, Serbian, Czech, Slovak, and Hungarian musical scene meet every year in Ljubljana and have set up, each in their own territory, similar platforms that allow professionals to stay connected all year round.
The Emilia-Romagna Music Commission will take part, together with ATER Fondazione, Bologna UNESCO City of Music, and the professionals of this sector, a delegation that represents in a heterogeneous way the various activities taking place in the territory and the institutions supporting them.
Among the various engagements, the delegation will be the leading actor of an event on February 23, ‘Speed Networking: Meet the Emilia-Romagna Music Scene’, a unique opportunity to introduce the region's professionals, artists, and festivals to Eastern European markets (TuneCore Space, M Hotel HJ, 10:30 am).
Moreover, on February 21, the Bologna based band Leatherette will be performing at the Kino Šiška (10:10 pm). They are a punk quintet selected in a project on emerging artists promoted by the Bronson Club in Ravenna and supported by the Emilia-Romagna Region's specific law on music.
