France – "Italia veloce - Arts et design au XXe siècle"

135 works from the Massimo and Sonia Cirulli Foundation Collection on display at the Museum of Modern Art in Troyes. Until October 20.

Italia veloce. Arts et design au XXe siècle is an exhibition project presented by the Museum of Modern Art in Troyes in collaboration with Fondazione Massimo and Sonia Cirulli on the occasion of the Summer Olympic Games in Paris. Opened on June 22, it will run until October 20.

The exhibition is entirely created with works from the Cirulli Foundation Collection, which find an interesting reflection in the Pierre and Denise Lévy Collection of the Troyes Museum, one of the most notable French private collections of modern art.

Italia veloce is a journey through the first sixty years of the 20th century that retraces those aspects of modernity and innovation that have characterized Italy. The heterogeneous composition of the works on display allows us to trace the richness of the artistic languages experimented over the last century: painting, sculpture, photography, collage and photocollage, advertising graphics, project drawings and design objects.

The exhibition itinerary, curated by Jeffrey Schnapp and Juliette Faivre-Preda, unfolds through six sections for a total of 135 works, including masterpieces by Alfredo Gauro Ambrosi, Giacomo Balla, Anton Giulio Bragaglia, Fortunato Depero, Bruno Munari, Antonio Sant’Elia, Mario Sironi, Thayaht.

The project was carried out in synergy and with the support of the Consulate General of Italy in Metz and the Italian Cultural Institute in Strasbourg.
