Costa Rica – The BenTiVoglio Youth Orchestra at the 'Festival de Música Barroca de Santa Ana'

Concerts on October 24, 26, and 27 performing Italian Baroque works reinterpreted for ocarina and strings.

The Bentivoglio Strings Ensemble of the School of Music "Il Temporale" – cultural association based in Bentivoglio, small town in the Metropolitan City of Bologna – is once again invited to represent Italy at the renowned Festival de Música Barroca de Santa Ana, in the San José Province of Costa Rica.
The festival, now in its 25th edition, is one of the most important music events in South America. It is organised by the Escuela Municipal de Artes Integradas (EMAI), which excels in its music program.

The group had already enchanted the Costa Rican audience in 2019, performing "La musica Barocca" for solo ocarina and string ensemble. They return in Santa Ana with a programme full of surprises: the concerts include Italian Baroque works reinterpreted for ocarina and strings, which will give the international audience a unique and original musical experience.

The concerts are scheduled on October 24 (7:30 pm) at the auditorium of the Casa de la Cultura in Santa Ana, on October 26 (12 pm) in the Metropolitan Cathedral of San José, and on October 27 (7 pm) in the Ancient Church of Santa Ana.

The tour represents not only an important opportunity for personal and artistic growth for the young musicians, but also an opportunity to give prestige to the community of Bentivoglio and to enhance the cultural traditions of the Emilia-Romagna Region, which supports the project.
