Instabili Vaganti on stage in Spain with new stages of the "Beyond Borders" project
Instabili Vaganti theatre company’s Beyond Borders international project is an investigation on the concept of «border» –not only geographical but also cultural, social, interpersonal, and an exploration on what is generated starting from the crossing of a border: the meeting with the other, the cultural contamination, the coexistence of multiple cultural backgrounds in the individual, the attachment to one's roots, the sense of "disorientation".
Now the project is enriched with new activities and events to meet the Emilia-Romagna associations in Europe and Latin America and explore the theme of migration through the real stories of those who made this journey.
The new path includes a series of stages of research, training, sharing and creation that will take place in close co-operation with the joining associations (in Spain, Switzerland, France, Chile, Brazil, Argentina), involving their publics in the artistic elaboration process of the video content that will become part of a new show by Instabili Vaganti.
The first step is a research stage in Madrid, where Anna Dora Dorno and Nicola Pianzola will gather testimonies and video interviews with representatives and visitors of the AS.ER.ES association (June 2-3).
Here, on June 2nd, the company will also perform Lockdown Memory, a show which, besides showing the genesis of the Beyond Borders project, well represents its innovative and interdisciplinary spirit. It is a performance-lecture about the experiences lived by artists from all over the world during the pandemic, in which the co-protagonists with Anna Dora and Nicola (on stage) are actors and dancers (in video) from South Korea, Brazil, India, Sweden, United States, Columbia, Mexico, Pakistan, China, and Iran.
The new activities of 'Beyond Borders' are supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture (MiC) - call Boarding Pass Plus, and Emilia-Romagna Region - Assemblea legislativa / Consulta degli emiliano-romagnoli nel mondo.
