France – Pippo Delbono back on tour with "Amore"
Pippo Delbono returns to the Théâtre Molière in Sète, which had already hosted his show Joy, and which, after that « unforgettable » journey in search of beauty and friendship, looks forward to the artist’s new journey in search of Love.
Amore is a musical and poetic journey through an outer geography – Portugal, Angola, Cape Verde – and an inner geography – that of the strings of the soul.
In the footsteps of this love, there are the words by poets –spoken in Delbono’s warm style, with his usual, hypnotic reciting at the microphone– and the melancholy notes of fado as a common thread.
Pippo Delbono has always created show in which the line between life and theatre becomes thinner, and there is a reflection on the meaning of our present days at the centre of this work, after the experience of loss and detachment the pandemic brought.
Amore is a show of rare intensity, full of emotions, of evocative paintings that hypnotize, in which music, poetic words and powerful images tell of beauty and pain – that state of mind which under the name of ‘love' includes aches and happiness.
The tour of Amore will continue in Switzerland, and will be back in France in May.
