France – Aterballetto at "Le Temps d'Aimer la Danse" festival

Two performances with choreographies by Eyal Dadon, Diego Tortelli, Philippe Kratz in Biarritz, Saint-Pée-sur-Nivelle, and Errenteria, in the Basque Country. September 8-10

Aterballetto opens the new season by dancing at the festival Le Temps d’Aimer la Danse of Biarritz, now in its 33rd edition (7-17 September).

It is a festival that aims to “reduce borders”, not only between the different genres of dance, but also between different audiences and between the various Basque territories straddling the Pyrenees. In fact, it takes place also in Bayonne, Anglet, St-Pée-sur-Nivelle, Bardos, Urt, Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, Tardets, Mauléon, Saint-Palais, and Errenteria.

Aterballetto performs two shows. The opening performance, on September 8, is the double bill Yeled - Shoot me, a creation for sixteen dancers by the two young choreographers Eyal Dadon and Diego Tortelli.

Yeled, Hebrew word meaning “child,” brings to the stage a reflection on the moment in life when we come to lose the innocence of children. Shoot me, on the other hand, is a frontal work that aims to put the dancers on stage and the audience in the stalls in a direct exchange relationship.

The performance is on stage in Biarritz at the Théâtre de la Gare du Midi at 9 pm, while at 12:30 pm, still on September 8, the Company offers a rehearsal open to the festival audience in the Public Gardens of the city.

On September 10, Aterballetto presents Storie, a small anthology of danced fragments created by Diego Tortelli and Philippe Kratz, composed of four choreographies.
Two different groups of dancers will perform Storie both in Saint-Pée-sur-Nivelle (Espace Culturel Larreko, 6 pm) and in Errenteria, in the Basque Country (Lekuona Fabrika, 8 pm).
