Tunisia – Homage to Italian cinema with Andrea Griminelli

On July 16 and 17 , the virtuoso flutist in concert at the international Festivals of El Djem and Hammamet

Andrea Griminelli and his Octa Jazz Quartet are on tour in Tunisia, where they will be the protagonists of two concerts Homage to Italian Cinema: at the International Festival of Symphonic Music of El Djem on July 16, and at the International Festival of Hammamet on July 17.

The great Roman Amphitheatre of El Jem –UNESCO Word Heritage Site– is the scenery of the Festival International de Musique Symphonique d’El Jem, event born in 1986 and established over the years as a cultural event with an international dimension.
In the magnificent “small Colosseum”, the talented flautist from Reggio Emilia presents a programme entirely dedicated to Ennio Morricone, with songs, musical themes and medleys from the scores of Italian films composed by the award-winning musician.

The concert at the Festival international d'Hammamet is also dedicated to Italian cinema, with a programme that combines Morricone's best-known pieces with other unforgettable musical themes by Nino Rota, from the soundtracks of films by Fellini and others.
And also on this occasion, the concert will take place in a beautiful setting: the Center Culturel International d’Hammamet and its theatre overlooking the sea, considered one of the most beautiful open-air theatres in the Mediterranean.

Andrea Griminelli's tour in Tunisia is organized with the precious co-operation by the Italian Cultural Institute in Tunis and the Embassy of Italy in Tunis.
