Teatro delle Ariette on tour in Spain
“In daily life, it is very difficult to sit together around a table. But empathy and evocativeness of staying around a table in a theatre, put the actors and the audience in a very special condition.”
That's how Teatro delle Ariette company talks about their Around a Table - meaningless little failures, the play they are taking on tour in Spain – country where they presented various works but where they have not returned to for several years.
Paola, Stefano, and Maurizio keep looking for the magic of a true and live encounter, of a shared rite, in the belief that theatre “allows us to evoke, build, and experience what it is disappearing in everyday life”.
In the Teatro delle Ariette’s Kitchen-Theatre, while serving food to the spectators, they will try to create a "temporary" community – that is maybe possible as far as the show goes on –, telling stories, personal experiences, little and apparently unimportant failures, anxieties of our present times.
Three performances have been staged in El Prat de Llobregat on November 4, 5 and 6, and further three will be in Vitoria-Gasteiz from November 10 to 13 (Teatro Jesús Ibáñez de Matauco Antzokia, 07:30 pm).
Around a Table will be on tour again in December, in France, where the theatre company will also perform Teatro da mangiare? (Theatre to eat?), one of their most famous works.
