Teatro delle Ariette on tour in France with two shows
Teatro delle Ariette is back to France, on stage with two shows.
Around a table – meaningless little failures is at Le Channel - Scène Nationale de Calais from April 1st to 10, while Theatre to eat? will be at the Salle Coluche in Loon-Plage on April 12 and 13.
Teatro delle Ariette’s “Kitchen-Theatre” is very well-liked in France (but not only: the show Theater to eat? has over 900 performances around Italy and Europe to his credit) and the reason for this success, as several critics have pointed out, lies in their conception of theatre: a "community" theatre, that passes through the sharing of a moment in which persons get excited together, forget that they are spectators and feel "at home".
Paola, Stefano, and Maurizio prepare dinner, serve the spectators and tell their stories. And, as they themselves declare, “around the big table where we find ourselves, actors and audience, to share the time for lunch or dinner, something happens that we cannot explain. Such a deeply human rite that is able to bring us all in the heart of our present, in the very moment of the “here and now”, without mediation, in the evidence of truth of our lives”.
