Instabili Vaganti on tour in Tunisia

From March 20 to 26, at the Festival 4/4 in Jendouba and at the Festival 24 heures de Théâtre no stop du Kef with "Made in Ilva" and a workshop

Instabili Vaganti theatre company presents the premiere of the French version of Made in Ilva in Tunisia.

On March 20, the multi-awarded show, that is just celebrating ten years of world tours, will be staged at the Festival International du Théâtre Professionnel 4/4 in Jendouba, organized by the Centre Des Arts Dramatiques Et Scéniques De Jendouba, and on March 26 at the Festival 24 heures de Théâtre no stop du Kef, organized by the Centre Des Arts Dramatiques Et Scéniques in El Kef, this year at its 20th edition.

Made in Ilva refers to the Ilva steelworks in Taranto, notorious for the ecological disaster it caused, and is inspired by some workers’ testimonies. In a poetic and extremely physical way, the performance expresses criticisms of the alienating system of contemporary production.

Within the Festival in El Kef, besides the performance, some activities of Instabili Vaganti’s “Beyond Borders” international project are also scheduled: the workshop A Gateway to the future, from March 23 to 25. The theme of “Beyond Borders” is the "overcoming of borders" in particular from the point of view of geographical barriers and economic assets conditioning cultural relations. The workshop held by Anna Dora Dorno and Nicola Pianzola, assisted by Tunisian dancer Moody Ghazuani, will focalize on theatre as a tool of social commentary and, at the same time, as a means of expression for the performer’s creative freedom. The results of the lab will be shared with the audience of the Festival.

Instabili Vaganti's tour in Tunisia is supported by ATER Fondazione and the Italian Cultural Institute in Tunis.
