United States – Premiere of “La Fellinette”

From July 16 to 22, in Santa Monica, the short film by Francesca Fabbri Fellini

«Remember, Francesca, in life we have two lives, the one with your eyes open and the one with your eyes closed».
Francesca Fabbri Fellini did not forget Uncle Federico’s words and has paid homage to the great director and his world with a little film “suspended between dream and reality”: La Fellinette.

The short – produced by director from Rimini Davide Montecchi with the support of the Emilia-Romagna Film Fund – was awarded with the Nastri d’Argento 2021 Special Prize 75.
Thanks to the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles, it arrives in the United States for the first time, programmed from July 16 to 22 at the Monica Film Center of Santa Monica.

Conceived, written and directed by Francesca Fabbri Fellini, La Fellinette was born from a drawing the Maestro made in 1971, portraying her on the beach of Rimini in winter.
Thanks to the work by talented artists and technicians who participated in the making of the film, that young girl comes to life in a suggestive and evocative tale in which live action shooting and animated parts let us live her memories, emotions, and dreams on the beach of Rimini and dream-like atmospheres full of poetry lead us into setting beloved by Fellini himself.

Francesca Fabbri Fellini has made an exclusive video introduction for the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles to present La Fellinette to the American audience.
