Turkey – Accademia Bizantina at the Istanbul Music Festival
Accademia Bizantina is guest of the 49th Istanbul Music Festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV).
On September 16, the ensamble accompanies young mezzo-soprano star of contemporary baroque Sophie Rennert in a portentous and moving programme, titled In Furore, that proposes music by Vivaldi, Broschi, Porpora, Corelli, Händel.
On the occasion of this concert, the orchestra is conducted by concertmaster and first violin Alessandro Tampieri, whose cheerfulness and passion certainly will not fail to thrill.
Thanks to the Embassy of Italy in Ankara and the Consulate General of Italy in Istanbul, this extraordinary ‘baroque feast’ takes place at the historical Venedik Sarayi (Venice Palazzo).
The event is made with the collaboration by the Italian Cultural Institute in Istanbul and has the support by Emilia-Romagna Region and ATER Fondazione.
