The President of Emilia-Romagna Region expresses his condolence for the death of Milva

The renowned singer and actress was born in Goro, in the province of Ferrara

The President of Emilia-Romagna Region, Stefano Bonaccini, expresses his condolence for the death of Milva, passed away on April 23.

“She has been an refined and extraordinary interpreter. A voice intense and unique, beloved by the audience. In over half a century of success, she has performed on musical and theatrical stages the world over”.

The renowned singer and actress was born in Goro, in the province of Ferrara, and Bonaccini reminds: “She is a daughter of the brilliant singing tradition of Emilia-Romagna, where she started her carrier in the clubs around Ferrara and Goro, her native land”.

Milva was very popular in Italy and abroad, in France and Germany, in particular, where she received honours for artistic merits, but also in Greece, Spain, South America, Japan, South Korea.

She is the Italian artists who released the highest number of albums –a total of 173, and sold over 80 million records.

“I would like to express my deepest sympathy to her daughter Martina and her family, personally and on behalf of the regional community”, President Bonaccini concludes.
