OperaStreaming – "Simon Boccanegra" by Giuseppe Verdi
OperaStreaming is continuing its second season of opera productions live streamed from the Theatres of Emilia-Romagna and freely available by an international audience.
The next show is an extraordinary live streaming from the Festival Verdi of Parma: Simon Boccanegra by Giuseppe Verdi in concert form, that is debuting at the Teatro Regio di Parma on occasion of the 21st edition of the festival that celebrates Verdi in his native land (ongoing in Parma and Busseto until October 17).
The live streaming is on October 9, at 08:00 pm CET, on OperaStreaming YouTube channel, then it will be available on the platform for six months.
The opera is co-produced by the Teatro Regio di Parma and the Teatro Comunale di Bologna.
The concert transposition is by Michele Mariotti, who conducts the Orchestra and Choir of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, chorus master Gea Garatti Ansini.
The cast: in the main role, Igor Golovatenko, debuting in the role of Simon Boccanegra and for the first time at the Teatro Regio and at the Festival Verdi; Angela Meade, debuting in the role of Amelia Grimaldi and for the first time at Teatro Regio and at Festival Verdi; Riccardo Della Sciucca, who is also debuting in the role of Gabriele Adorno and for the first time is at Teatro Regio and Festival Verdi; Michele Pertusi, in the role of Jacopo Fiesco.
