Luxembourg – La Baracca-Testoni Ragazzi on tour again
La Baracca-Teatro Testoni Ragazzi company is back in Luxembourg and restart a tour stopped in March 2020.
In fact, according to the Luxembourg Government regulations, cinemas, theatres, museums, and other cultural venues could reopen from January 11, following all the safety measures.
The Company is on stage at the Kulturhaus Niederanven (January 24) and at the CAPE – Centre des Arts Pluriels Ettelbruck (January 26), with five performances of On-off.
It is a show for children aged 2 to 5, born from a research carried out in nursery schools, focused on the children’s relationship with light and darkness.
The result is a tribute to the children’s amazement at the behaviour of light and to their interest towards controlling it and its intensity through the use of switches.
An actor on stage, the darkness is broken by point, lines, and traces of light, music and movements follow the rhythm of the switching on and off. The light can be everything: a flower, a spoon, a dancer, a candle, a carousel, and so on …
It is a game and also a way to help children not be afraid of the darkness.
In 2013, On-off got the "Award For The Best Artistic Achievement", assigned by ASSITEJ Serbia.
