France – Fabrizio Montecchi, Camille Trouvé, and shadows

The show “De qui dira-t-on que je suis l’ombre?” on stage in Malakoff on June 22 and 23

De qui dira-t-on que je suis l’ombre? (Whom will they say I am the shadow of?) is an international production project born in 2019, when the Festival Mondial des Théâtres de Marionnettes di Charleville-Mézières, on the occasion of its 20th edition, invited Fabrizio Montecchi – director and set designer of Teatro Gioco Vita company – and Camille Trouvé – director and actress of the French company Les Anges au Plafond – to create a show together.

Fabrizio Montecchi and Camille Trouvé have in common a language that knows no boundaries, imposes no form or meaning, and suggests stories: it is the language of shadows, shared with the audience in a real-fake conference in which they talk about their own artistic and theatrical experiences.

Two artists talking, without worrying about the traces their shadow leaves behind them on the wall. In this game with the world of illusion, they will have to do battle with a rebellious shadow who accuses them of depriving it of its freedom, being constantly manipulated.

De qui dira-t-on que je suis l’ombre? is a poetic conference, an “illuminated” conversation which imperceptibly transforms into fiction.

On June 22 and 23, the show is on stage in Malakoff, at the Fabrique des Arts, one of the cultural spaces managed by Malakoff scène nationale.
