France – "Dreamers #1" by Aterballetto
On December 4 and 5, Aterballetto is in Alès, guest of Le Cratère, which presents it as “Italy's most famous contemporary neoclassical dance company, (…) recognized on the international scene for the high quality of its sixteen solo dancers who all have a solid classical training, while being able to apprehend, with astonishing precision, the most diverse styles”.
And the program presented at Le Cratère confirms it. With Dreamers #1 – triple bill composed of Secus by Ohad Naharin, “O” by Philippe Kratz and BLISS by Johan Inger – Aterballetto explores the very different worlds of three choreographers.
Johan Inger's Bliss, set to the sublime music of Keith Jarrett, launches the sixteen performers into a triptych of contrasts about the rare beauty of the world.
"O" by Philippe Kratz is a transcendent dance between humans and robots that captures the viewer in a hypnotic way.
Finally, the company obtained the rare privilege of mounting a piece by Ohad Naharin, Secus, a daring choreography that combines humour, virtuosity and emotion, and that enhances the technical skills and expressiveness of all dancers.
