RECOLOR – The collaboration between Italy and Croatia is strengthened
On January 28th and 29th, preceded by a presentation press conference, the third transnational meeting between the eight partners of the European project RECOLOR was held in Cividale del Friuli (UD).
RECOLOR - Reviving and EnhanCing artwOrks and Landscapes Of adRiatic (rediscovery and enhancement of the artistic and landscape heritage of the Adriatic Sea) is led by Emilia-Romagna Region with the participation of seven other Italian and Croatian partners: Municipality of Cividale del Friuli, GAL Montefeltro Sviluppo, University of Bologna, Municipality of Campobasso, Sibenik Polytechnique, Municipality of Labin and City of Zara.
RECOLOR is a standard project financed within the Interreg V-A Italy-Croatia 2014-2020 programme through the Priority Axis 3 for the enhancement of the environment and cultural heritage with a budget of more than 2 million euro.
Its objective is ”to make natural and cultural heritage a tool for a sustainable and more balanced development of the territory" through the creation of new models. This strategy will increase the tourist attraction of Italian and Croatian urban and rural landscapes characterized by a significant cultural heritage, but located out of the traditional tourist circuits, thus diversifying the tourist offer in the territory.
The collaboration between the partners, started with the meetings in Urbania (PU) in March 2019 and in Zadar in the following September, ensured in the last meeting in Cividale del Friuli the sharing of good practices, the monitoring of the state of the art, and the visit of the three sites included in the Cividale Municipality’s pilot project, demonstrating their artistic-cultural and landscape interest.
The next meeting will be hosted by the Municipality of Sibenik on May 25-26, 2020.
