Germany - "Private Bestiary" by Teatro Nucleo
Natasha Czertok, actress, director, choreographer, and theatre educator of Teatro Nucleo company, presents her latest work Private Bestiary at the 4th International Womyns‘ Theatre Festival of Frankfurt am Main.
The Festival offers a stage in which an open and collective dialogue about differently shaped constructs of female identities and their artistic expressions can be further developed and presented.
From September 24 to 27, performances, workshops, meetings with experts are scheduled, with the participation of female performers and directors, and also engaged womyn from science, arts and culture. The topic of this 4th edition is: "Collective Empowerment Across Borders".
Private Bestiary is the result of a choreographic research Natasha Czertok carried out starting from a question made to a group of people of different ages, sex, ethnic and social backgrounds: "by whom, by what and how do we feel represented? In which stereotypes and archetypes do we recognize ourselves?"
She also ‘filtered’ and transmuted into movement the images arriving in the most diverse forms: self-portraits, images on the web, paintings, poems, songs.
A ‘bestiary’ has come out, a kaleidoscope of ‘creatures’ resulting from a contamination of different elements.
The performance – a co-production by Teatro Nucleo and the Festival itself – is on stage on September, 25th, at 08:00 p.m., also live stream on Vimeo.
