United Kingdom - Elisa Pagani for Transitions Dance Company

The choreographer is in London to create the Company’s new performance

Elisa Pagani, choreographer and artistic director of DNA dance company, a contemporary dance company based in Bologna, is one of three international collaborators selected from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance of London to create a new piece for Transitions Dance Company to be performed on a tour starting in spring 2020.

In 2005, Trinity College of Music and Laban – leading centres of music and contemporary dance – came together to form Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, creating exciting opportunities for collaboration between musicians, composers, dancers and choreographers.

Transitions Dance Company is formed by young dancers from all over the world who are at the end of their education path and at the outset of their promising careers.

The young dancers have the opportunity to work with some of the most interesting choreographers of the international dance scene to create a triple bill for a European and international tour.

Elisa Pagani, besides being ‘the soul’ of DNA dance company, is the artistic director of the contemporary dance department and the professional programmes App and Appstage in Alma Studios in Bologna.

Elisa spent five weeks in London, working with the Company to create Firstly, my name, part of the triple bill conceived with famous international colleagues -H2Dance (NO/SE/UK) and Cameron Mcmillan (NZ/UK)- that will debut at the end of February.
