Hungary – Open Design Italia at Design Without Borders exhibition

From May 31st to June 23rd, in Budapest, four designers on display at one of the most important mid-European events in the field

madeinhungary + 7. MeeD presents the exhibition Design Without Borders, organized by textile designer Szilvia Szigeti and interior designer Tamás Radnóti.

For the first time, the event is organized as an international festival and it is part of the Budapest Summer Festival and the 'Night of Museums', besides being also a member of the Hungarian Festival Alliance and EFFE (Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe).

The selection includes works by more than 100 designers from twelve different countries: Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Germany, Italy, Austria, Romania, Switzerland, France, Portugal, Spain.

Amongst the Italians selected, three are proposed by Open Design Italia: Creazioni Zuri, Giovanni Minelli, Roberto Rota.

Like the other designers participating the international contests curated by Open Design Italia, these creatives too work in the field of small series design, but of a highly narrative type, that values taste, tradition and creativity through new approaches, and capable of revisiting materials and symbols of the Made in Italy with a contemporary view.

Open Design Italia attends Design Without Borders thanks to the support by the Italian Cultural Institute in Budapest.
