Germany - Teatro Due Mondi at the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall
Berlin celebrates the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Wall with a festival that will transform the city into an open-air exhibition and festival site.
Exhibitions, 3D video projections, art installations, cinema, music, theatre are scheduled in the key-sites of the ‘Peaceful Revolution’ from November 4th to 10th.
On November 5th, Teatro Due Mondi presents its new street theatre show Wall cracks, a performance produced in the frame of Mauerspringer, ‘wall jumpers’, a European project the Company promotes together with other five street theater companies from five Countries.
The show talks about walls and barriers made of stone and barbed wire that may be impassable, but also of how relationship problems between people or difficulties in relating to oneself could often build walls of fear and distrust or individual boundaries.
Wall cracks is the result of a long creative process Teatro Due Mondi has been developing since 2011 through Borderless, a workshop of participated theatre open to everybody, a ‘space of exchange’ between people of different language and culture, coming from different countries.
The workshop takes place also in Berlin, and some of the participants will be on stage together with the actors of Teatro Due Mondi.
