Germany – Accademia Bizantina at Barocktage Festival
Barocktage Festival of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin, organized in co-operation with the Pierre Boulez Saal, proposes ten days of opera and concerts which in the 2019 edition are focused on two composers who had a decisive influence on the music of the 17th century: Alessandro Scarlatti and Henry Purcell.
Ottavio Dantone and Accademia Bizantina, very appreciated interpreters of Baroque music, presents two rarely heard dramatic serenades by Alessandro Scarlatti: Venere e Amore (Clori e Mirtillo), Il Giardino d'Amore / Venere e Adone.
Protagonists with the Ensemble based in Ravenna, alt Delphine Galou and soprano Serena Saenz Molinero.
The appointment is on November 10th in the beautiful arena of the Pierre Boulez Saal.
