Argentina - "I Promise" by Cecilia Fasciani
I Promise by Cecilia Fasciani tells the story of four women and their daily resistance in areas affected by several earthquakes in Central Italy.
The documentary, totally self-financed and supported by means of a crowdfunding campaign, is included in OpenDDB, an on-demand catalogue of multimedia contents: documentaries, movies, books, music, experimental cinema, and journalistic inquiries.
OpenDDB is a project by SMK Videofactory, an independent production company in Bologna, which introduced it in Argentine thanks to the CINéTICO Project. Born from the collaboration between IMD – Instituto Multimedia DerHumALC (Derechos Humanos en América Latina y el Caribe) in Buenos Aires and SMK Videofactory, the project aims at creating new networks of multimedia distribution between Emilia-Romagna and Argentina.
Workshops, meetings, and screenings were organized in Buenos Aires, Rosario, Córdoba, Santiago del Estero to share practices and knowledge with independent Argentinian film directors, producers and professionals and to develop innovative partnership and co-operation.
The screening of I Promise in Buenos Aires on December 19th is the conclusion of the activities in Argentina related to the CINéTICO Project, which were realized thanks to the support by Emilia-Romagna Region Cullture Dept.
