Sweden – Teatro Gioco Vita: poetry and magic of shadow theatre
Freely adapted from the stories by Dolf Verroen & Wolf Erlbruch, A Sky for the Bears performes two stories dealing with delicate and profound themes. In the simplest of ways and through the animal protagonists, the show explains the difficulties we all face, children above all, when we try to find answers to the great unknowns of life.
Staged in many Countries all over the world, the show has been defined by international press «imaginative and astute» (Time Out Paris), a vision which leave the spectator «with larger eyes and a head full of images and ideas» (Artichaut Magazine).
On 19th August, it is performed within Pop up Puppets, the international puppet theatre festival of Stockholm presenting shows from all over Europe.
On 18th August, the festival also proposes the workshop "The shadow and its double" by Fabrizio Montecchi, director and scenographer of Teatro Gioco Vita, a company which has the credit for having introduced remarkable changes in contemporary shadow theatre with its technique and language.
After Sweden, A Sky for the Bears goes to Slovenia, in Maribor, where it will be on stage at the 29th edition of the Summer Puppet Pier festival on August 24th.
